Get The Look - The Image Awards

Hello!

This weeks #GetTheLook edit is coming all the way from Cosmoprof Bologna, the biggest beauty trade show in the world!! It's been a busy couple of weeks but we’re so excited to be here - and anyone who knows me knows I wouldn't have it any other way!

I’m going to base this weeks #GetTheLook on my own makeup look from the Image Beauty of Business Awards last week where I was nominated in the Entrepreneur of the Year category, and I’m so excited to say I came second! Thanks to all of you for voting for me, it’s so appreciated, and I’m honestly in shock that I came second in this category, so thank you again.

I got lots of enquiries into my makeup look on this night so I’m going to give you the rundown here!

Prep

I prepped my skin with Kiehls Moisturiser cause I find it really hydrating and yet it’s non greasy, so your makeup doesn’t slide off! Following this I used an illuminated primer paired with hylauralic acid and an SPF to give my skin a dewy finish and really fresh and healthy look.

Base

For my base I used MAC Studio Fix Foundation mixed with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. I love both of these foundations for different reasons. Basically the MAC Studio Fix is more of a matte finish and it has amazing coverage! Whereas the Chanel has more of a dewy finish so both compliment each other really well for a photo ready finish.

To set the face I used MAC Prep & Prime loose powder and applied it with the Perfecter Brush from the Sculpted Reloaded Set, which I just love as it’s dome shaped so it fits right into the contour of the eye.

Contour

I used the Medium Bronze in the hollows of the cheeks, along the sides of the nose and around the hair line using the fluffier end of the Sculpted Double Ended Brush. Using my ring finger I popped Champagne Cream Highlight onto the tips of the cheekbones, down the centre of the nose and along the cupids bow. I used the highlight end of my double ended brush to apply the Golden Glow Highlight in the exact same areas as the cream highlight and finished the look off with Sunset Sheen Blush on the apples of the cheeks!

Eyes

On my eyes I used the Huda Beauty Rose Gold Remastered Palette which you can shop here. This is an amazing palette with such a range of colours with really creamy finishes so they don’t crease.

And on my brows I used Benefit Kabrow Shade 3. This is one of my favourite brow products, it's a cream-gel colour with a brush and it fills the brows really easily, and a little goes a long way!

Lips

I went for a red lip to set off the jumpsuit I was wearing on the night (I'll list my outfit details for anyone who was interested too!) I lined my lips using Rouge from the Pink Edition Lip Quad and popped some Rimmel Stay Matte liquid lip colour in Firestarter on top for a really impactful finish!

I got my jumpsuit in Revolve, and it was just so comfy!! It was a little on the low side so I attached some material, as I just felt more comfortable, but it was true to size and soo comfy on the night! You can shop the link here
