New Year's Eve Glam: Get The Look

The end of the year is upon us and although we may not be able to go out and celebrate in style like we had hoped, we still think it’s only right that we wrap up the year with a little glam.
Our New Year’s Eve makeup look this year is all about soft glowing skin and sultry Smokey eyes, with a pop of colour to reflect the wildness of this past year.
Sculpted New Years Eve Glam: Get The Look
We love to start with the skin, and for this look you’ll want to prep the skin with your usual cleansing routine, followed by a spritz of Hydrate & Hold and a layer of Beauty Base Rose Golden, for the ultimate dewy base. Beauty Base is kind to the skin with nourishing peptides and it leaves a gorgeous rose golden glow, while Hydrate & Hold adds more hydration & controls shine.
For a healthy layer of coverage, add Complete Cover Up to any blemishes, redness or pigmentation. This oil-free, semi-matte concealer is non comedogenic, so it’s perfect for covering up any Christmas breakouts.
Next, take Second Skin Dewy all over the skin for a medium buildable coverage that leaves you with a healthy, glowing complexion.
For the under eyes, because we know you’ve been staying up late to have one more glass of wine or binge one more episode of Emily in Paris, apply Brighten Up concealer to cover and brighten dark circles. Brighten Up is a lightweight, mineral formula packed with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide and it is genuinely the easiest way to fake a good night's sleep!
Now that your base is ready, it’s time to add some colour.
Using Cream Luxe cream bronze, softly sculpt under the cheekbones, around the hairline and down the sides of the nose to add warmth and subtle definition. Follow this with Liquid Lights Gilded Glow highlight to add even more radiance and reflect the light from all the right places. We usually apply this to the tops of the cheekbones, the tip & bridge of the nose, the Cupid’s bow and if on show, our shoulders, chest, collar bones, legs.. Okay pretty much everywhere.
We’re going to get smokier with the eyes for this look, so for the cheeks and lips we’ve kept it simple with a pop of Cream Luxe Pink Supreme blush on the apples of the cheeks and Mauve Match lip duo on the lips. Both of these shades work really well together for an overall rosy tonal look.
For the eyes, follow our 3 step approach Buff, Smoke & Shimmer, for an effortless sultry Smokey eye.
Using our Sultry Stories eyeshadow palette :
Buff shade ‘Tawny’ through the crease of the eye building depth and definition.
Smoke shade ‘Damson’ into the outer corners of the eye, keeping it close to the lash line. We like to apply it with a Definer brush and blend it out with the Taperer.
Shimmer the shade ‘Royal’ across the eyelid using your finger or a flat shadow brush, you can choose to leave it here, as this cranberry shimmer is a statement in itself, but for this look we added the shimmer shade ‘Pixie’ on top for that extra bit of dazzle.
Finish my lining the waterline with a brown kohl eyeliner and add lashings of your favourite mascara.
